The Appointments dashboard allows organisations to proactively manage the demand and capacity of appointments.

Please note - data is uploaded to the dashboard automatically and organisations must be a National Contract Subscriber and signed up for automatic uploads

The Appointments dashboard can be accessed via the Services icon and selecting the Appointments option on the right-hand side.

The top of the dashboard will allow you navigate through, past appointment activity, future appointment activity, workforce and GPAD data.

The Past tab provides you with data of past appointment activity, with most data taken directly from the practice clinical system. The data can be used to monitor recurrent attenders and further breakdown of how patients are using their online access. Remember to click on the View option to see a further breakdown.

Further data is available to view details of unused appointments, personalised care appointment activity using the RAG rating, waiting times and the contact method.

The Future tab looks at upcoming appointments, with data taken directly from the practice clinical system. This can be used to help with planning and allocation of resources.

Please note - as the future page is looking at upcoming appointments you can expect to see the utilisation percentages increase as the month progresses before resetting at the start of the month.

The Workforce tab takes data from the General Practice (GPW) and Primary Care Network (PCNW) workforce data and allows you to plan / monitor workforce activity.

The GPAD tab takes data from the General Practice Appointment Data published by NHS England. It provides more information on the type of appointments, seen by activity and waiting times.
