National Data Sets refer to sets of data that are published publically online via NHS England or other sources. Ardens collects this data once it has been published and imports it into various Ardens Manager dashboards for organisations to track and monitor in one central place.

Known problems with Extractions

  • GPAD - November 2023

Due to technical issues, there has been a large number of unknown/unmapped appointment values with data from 13th November 2023 onwards, all datasets that contain national category data (including ACC-08) will be affected.

We understand the issue is being investigated and should be resolved for the December 2023 publication.

  • POMI - October 2023 (EMIS only)

Due to problems during extraction, the data should be interpreted with caution.

FAQs

Q: What is the difference between the IIF indicator ACC-08 and the Capacity and Access 'Seen in 2w - Not usually Booked in Advance' figures?

A: The ACC-08 indicator looks at a cumulative performance, from 1st April 2023 until 31st March 2024, whereas the 'Seen in last 2w - Not usually booked in Advance' data only shows you a single month's worth of data.

Q: If I update our appointment slots types now will our previous months extracts be updated too?

A: Not that we are aware of, GPAD extracts their data every month and so once the data has been extracted, we do not believe the data is extracted again.
