Introduction
Ensuring every patient has a designated GP and is aware of who it is plays a crucial role in delivering excellent care and complying with NHS standards. Ardens Manager simplifies the process of monitoring your practice's performance in this area.
This guide will demonstrate how to use Ardens Manager to identify which patients have been assigned a named GP and have been informed, as well as those who have not yet been notified. It's an effective way to stay organized and ensure no patient is overlooked.
Accessing the Reports
Navigate to the Services icon and click on the Population Dashboard.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Overview page to the section titled Performance Indicator. Alternatively, you can filter your dashboard using the filter icon. Select your activity type as Continuity of Care and click Apply.

This section includes the following 2 reports:

Along the far-right side of the dashboard, you’ll see two patient columns.
- The first column shows how many patients have been allocated a named GP and how many have been informed of their named GP.
- The second column highlights patients who have not yet been allocated a named GP or haven’t been informed.
To make it even easier to understand at a glance, this information is also shown as a percentage of the total patient group, with a visual progress bar to help you quickly monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
Identifying Patients
Next to each report, click on the View button.

Click on the Patients tab.

Next, filter your list of patients to your preference. You can choose to show all patients, or just those who have achieved the criteria (green tick next to their NHS Number), or those patients remaining.

Action the Patient List
You can use the remaining patients on the list to either allocate a Named GP, or to inform patients who their named GP is.
You can export the patient list out of Ardens Manager using the Export function at the bottom of the NHS numbers. Select the second option for your Clinical System. You can then import this list into your clinical system to carry out the work.
