Introduction

To meet local specification requirements, practice staff will record data using the standard Ardens Local Commissioned Services template available in their clinical system. This allows practices to view codes for their local specification requirements, and data check and backdate these codes if required.

Recording Activity

To access your local commissioned services template, go to Auto consultations > ardens CONTRACTS > Local Contracts or search for your ICB name in the bottom left of SystmOne. You can also add this template to your F12 favourites for quick access.

The template has a 'Home' screen, which has links to the different pages of the template for the various areas of their local specifications. The bottom left of the home page also has a link to more information about their Service Specifications.

Click on any of these links or the tabs at the top to see the data entry fields for the codes needed for each service. When you click on any of these boxes, the codes will appear. If a code has been added before, it will show up in the right-hand pane of the template. This allows practices to add any missed codes and backdate them by setting the date in the field next to the drop-down.

Each tab features shortcut buttons to the relevant national templates, if applicable. In these templates, important LCS codes are marked with a yellow star to the left of the code. They also include all other codes required by Best Practice, NICE, and national guidance.

If a clinician first accesses the specific national template but wants to view their LCS template to check the required codes, they can click the yellow star in the bottom right of the template. This will open the LCS template.

Once the information has been recorded, click OK on the template, and save the patient record when finished.
