The Vaccination Dashboard allows you to track and monitor eligible cohorts and vaccination activity such as Seasonal Influenza (Flu) at GP practice, PCN and ICB level.

Access the dashboard via the Services icon and select the Vaccination option on the right-hand side:

Select the Seasonal Influenza tab:

The Data tab will display data for your organisation(s), this information is uploaded automatically on a daily basis.

The Overview section will provide an overall status of the flu progress for the organisation(s) e.g. how many invites sent, the total number of vaccinations given, with a breakdown of the number done in the organisation and elsewhere (such as the Pharmacy).

It is important to note the timings for flu for 2024/25:

From 1st September the below cohorts only are to be offered a flu vaccine:

  • pregnant women
  • all children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2024
  • primary school aged children (reception to year 6)
  • secondary school aged children (year 7 to year 11)
  • all children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years

From October 2024 (3rd October onwards - Primary Care Bulletin - 13 June 2024 (issue 294)) the below cohorts are to be offered a flu vaccine:

  • aged 65 years and over
  • aged 18  years to 64 years in a clinical risk group (defined by the Green Book).
  • patients in long-stay residential care homes
  • carers in receipt of carer's allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
  • close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • frontline workers - defined as those in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme, including those working for a registered residential care or nursing home. registered domiciliary care providers, voluntary managed hospice providers and those that are employed by those who receive direct payments direct payments (personal budgets) or Personal Health budgets, such as Personal Assistants

The Data Quality report will therefore highlight the number of patients vaccinated before this time.

The Last Month section will report on the number vaccinations recorded last month for adults and children.

The Performance Indicator section will provide a further breakdown of vaccinations given by eligibility, by clinical risk group and low uptake groups.

If you are working at group-level, you may wish to benchmark activity across organisations. For example to view the low uptake group activity, click on the View option located on a hover to the right of the report:

This will open the further breakdown modal, to allow you to monitor trends for each organisation.
